The soulless man is a stone ruin, where the animal gods dwell.
STATEMENT
In my artistic work, I seek to depict the duality between nature and humanity outside of it, as a soulless being amidst stone ruins and brutalist structures inhabited by animal deities. This is the consequence of becoming utilitarian, subjugated by one's own ego, which leads to becoming an instrument of one's own power; it is the system one created that, in turn, degrades one. The coexistence of animals and rigid structures, symbolizing the decline of humanity, allows me to convey, as the main objective of my work, a reflection on our existence and whether the path is individual or collective and inclusive of nature.
Therefore, I seek to faithfully portray animals, to endow them with light to the point of idolatry in representation of nature, to demonstrate that it always survives and flourishes despite growing in rocks, stones or within man himself, petrified by his ego.
NATURE AND BRUTALISM
In this work I want to show a duality, between the natural coexistence of animals and the earthy stone structures, recognizing that in the essential forms of natural life, one can understand complicity with the rustic environment of the monoliths.
